Considerations before Marriage

There are several considerations that need to be looked at seriously before a couple decide to get married. When madly in love these factors are more often then not ignored and they can have a definite impact on the marriage if disregarded. What are they?

Snoring which many regard as amusing can be a detrimental factor if it disrupts the sleeping pattern of either of the partners. People have filed for divorce citing snoring as being prime a reason. It is essential to be well rested after a stressful day at work and if snoring causes a disruption this could have serious implications. There are treatments available today that often work so if one who snores is willing to amenable to trying one of these treatments a marriage in trouble could be saved.

No matter how young you are it is vital to start saving a percentage of your income as soon as possible. As little as 5 to 10%  of  your monthly income set aside each month when your marriage starts out can ensure a happy and comfortable retirement. This consideration is mostly not even considered by young couples looking to tie the knot.

The years pass quickly and you don’t want to reach a stage in your life where either of the partners never set up an IRA in the US or a RRSP if you are living in Canada.

Women especially are vulnerable if they depend entirely on their husbands for financial security. They should have their own financial plans set up even within a marriage should an unfortunate situation arise which causes a separation or a divorce.

Having religious beliefs which are the same or do not clash with each other is of prime importance in a successful marriage.
