Having problems in your marriage? It happens to every married couple out there, some point in their marriage they will have a marriage breakdown. Even the couple who are happy all the time will at one point come across a problem that may cause a small rift in their relationship.
When you’ve witnessed the marriage breakdown the chances are in most cases you don’t even know what has lead to the problems. A lot of people will not discuss their private lives with even close friends. It’s something that just happens; they may feel like they would burden you too much.
Unfortunately though you may only seem to be fighting about a dog, the real fight could be about guilt. One spouse may have cheated and feels that they need to fight about everything. Maybe it’s a ploy to be able to get out of the house and away to meet the lover. Or perhaps it’s because they really want to inform their spouse of the problem, but just can’t.
It’s hard for your parents to realize exactly what this marriage breakdown is doing to you. In fact in most cases they are so unhappy they have a hard time looking past their own feelings. That doesn’t mean they don’t love you. Many kids who have experienced a divorce though will feel that they may have caused the problems, making them feel worthless.
As a parent who’s gone through a marriage breakdown and have children involved, you need to make sure how your children feel. Go and talk to them, even as they get older so you can make sure they never feel that your divorce was caused by them. This could help cure the need for years of counseling that may arise if you don’t go and talk to them.
No matter what has caused a marriage breakdown you should try and approach your lovely spouse about the problems. Talking out what may cause a problem is the first step to getting your marriage back to the old way of life.
Yes there are still people out there that will hold marriage where it should be. Taking their vows seriously, and realizing that they can’t just give up at the first sign of marriage breakdown. That they do need to get help, be it by a book, or through a counselor.
Finally, though we all know that marriage is hard work, it’s still hard at times to push ourselves to work past certain problems. Cheating is one of the hardest things to overcome in marriage breakdown. It takes a very special person to be able to look past this and be willing to work with their spouse. Lack of trust will no doubt continue though.
