Online Dating Hides True Identity
It makes no difference who is behind the keyboard. In online dating, we are offered to possibility of letting go of who we are and welcome new persons. When we date a new person found online, we can be who ever we want to be, even a person that has no past and memories. But most people take the secrecy too far, and either don’t share any real facts online or even worse, they start making up various success stories.
You might even encounter old persons, maybe even grandmothers that claim they are young and athletic. No one can tell if the profile pictures belong to that person or not. That is why it’s indicated that you study the profiles well and don’t believe just any picture you see. No one is saying that older people can not join online dating websites, but if they do, they have to be honest about their age.
Try to judge persons only after you have carefully appreciated them. The information you can access at first is very limited. In the world of online dating websites, there are high quality persons but also others that will only give you an unpleasant experience. With attention and patience, finding a match can easily transform in a safe and very enjoyable activity.
As I said in the begging, we can be anyone, but without lying. Online dating let’s us forget the past and say hello to the future. There is no shame in admitting that you were in a painful and disastrous marriage that almost ruined you mental health, but if you don’t want to and everything is still too fresh , you don’t have to. Simply saying that you are divorced should do it. If our dating partner comes from any real life environment, then he or she will probably know what we’ve been through and the relationship will hand the other person an advantage. So, in real life dates, forgetting who you were can prove to be very hard. While when meeting a date online, he or she will never ask for more than you are ready to share from a long gone part of your life. But a minimum of truth is required if you ever plan in buying together a britax roundabout convertable car seat for an eventual baby.
It’s very important to understand the not so thick line between “moving on” and “lying”. Many people mix up the two and they end up living yet another sad experience.
