Seasonal Wedding Magic
Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter. The four seasons of the year can be a great time to throw a wedding because it gives you a lot of room for experimenting and throwing a wedding in accordance with the theme. Having a theme wedding is much easier to plan and get things organized because you already know what you are doing and what will be available to you during that time to help you pull off the theme.
Planning a wedding theme requires that you look into a few areas – the color schemes, flower choices, wedding décor, fashion, stationery, menu and wedding favors among other things. For example, if you were thinking of winter wedding themes or fall wedding themes, you wouldn’t be able to use the same flowers, the same décor or fashion, or the same color schemes because they are two very different themes. The thing about seasonal wedding themes is that no two are every alike and it is unlikely you will be able to use the same material for any two themes.
For your winter wedding themes or fall wedding themes, the sets of flowers you use would most definitely be different because with each season comes different kinds of flowers. This doesn’t mean that your choices of flowers are limited, it simply means that the sorts of flowers you can use would be only those available during that season.
The same concept can be applied in choosing the winter wedding themes or fall wedding themes décor. Look into colors associated with the season and apply those colors to the decorations where possible. The same thing goes when selecting the fashion for those themes. The thing to keep in mind is to look at and go for colors that are associated with the season in order to pull off a successful themed wedding. That is why sometimes themed weddings might not be for everyone, and if you are the kind of couple that already has their hearts set on certain colors which may not be available with the theme you want for your wedding, then you might need to think about whether or not a seasonal theme wedding is for you.
The wedding invitations, save-the-date cards, place cards, all of it would have to have the same overall color scheme as the theme of the wedding – white, blue or silver for winter, and orange, burgundy or warm browns for fall.
Planning the menu for the wedding theme is probably the only thing that you don’t have to refer back to the color scheme for. With the menu, you are free to choose what you would like to have, although you could have a few food items that match the theme of your wedding. In this case, it is much more applicable to fall weddings more than anything else, because the fall season has a few fun food items that you can incorporate into your wedding like pumpkins for example.
No matter what season you choose to have your wedding, a seasonal themed wedding has a lot of possibilities for you to explore, and each theme brings with it something new and different for you to do.
