Everyone will experience some type of anxiety during his or her life. Different levels of anxiety can be brought on by different things such as learning of an looming snowstorm or even the phone ringing in the night.
But when people discuss about anxiety, they usually mean something much more severe than just a bit of nervous reaction to some unexpected occurrence. Entire fields of study have been dedicated to the following types of anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, OCD and even panic attacks are considered full blown forms of anxiety linked to medicine. According to the National Institutes of Health (NIH), approximately 40 million American adults ages 18 and older, or about 18.1 percent of people in this age group in a given year, have an anxiety disorder
It can be common for a person to experience more than one of the indicators of anxiety, such as having post traumatic stress disorder as well as panic attacks that occur frequently.
Depression may also be characterised through obsessive compulsive disorder. 18% of people is almost 1 in 5, so the next time you think that you’re the only one that feels the way you do or are the only one battling these symptoms, walk through the mall or think of a group of people you know, such as at work or your place of worship. Chances are that for every 5 or 6 people there, one of them has an anxiety disorder of one type or another. Every day there are new medicines and treatments being produced, so as previously stated there is help available to people who have these disorders.
There are just far too many people in the world today that experience these disorders for doctors and biologists to ignore it. If you experience severe anxiety and feel there is something wrong with you because you live with one of these disorders, then its time you visit your doctor so they can help you.
